Services

Counselling / Therapy
My fee is $160 (incl. GST) for a counselling session, which typically lasts 50-60 minutes.
Sleep Assessment
All new sleep clients begin with an assessment. The assessment is approximately 90 minutes and costs $250 (incl. GST).
ACC Sensitive Claims Therapy
ACC offers fully funded counselling for people in NZ who have experienced sexualised violence. Support is available even if the abuse happened a long time ago or if you can't remember the details. If you’re unsure whether you’re eligible, ACC can fund up to two initial sessions so we can figure that out together.

About

My work is guided by positive psychology, which focuses on strengths, meaning, and the things that help us build resilience. My training was pluralistic, meaning it’s collaborative and integrative, and grounded in humanistic and person-centred values. My kete of knowledge includes approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based practices, and narrative therapy.I have a special interest in sleep health and am a certified practitioner of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi). I’m a strong believer in the healing power of nature, and I also offer walk-and-talk therapy. I’m Pākehā with whakapapa Māori (Tūwharetoa, Waikato-Tainui). My practice is neuro-affirming and inclusive, and I’m an ally to the Rainbow/Takatāpui community.I’m registered with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) and approved to provide ACC Sensitive Claims therapy. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Counselling & Guidance) from Massey University and am currently completing my Master of Counselling with Massey. Before starting my clinical training, I worked for 15 years in communications. The skills I learned there — listening, clarity, empathy, how to tell a good yarn — continue to shape my work today. I also draw on experience coaching leaders through tricky situations.
